Season of Change

Are you all in fall mode yet? Or maybe I should ask: Are you as crazy about this leafy season as a lot of people are? I have to say that I am a fall person through and through. But also for the deeper meaning behind it.

Countryside Reflections, Germany

I think the one thing I was most excited about when traveling back home to Germany last month was the fact that I'd be able to go for walks in the countryside. Like, literally in the woods. The peace and quiet just the twittering of the birds, pretty much no soul around and hearing the wind rustling in the trees.

Time

I am currently somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean. It’s sunny outside and the clouds make me crave cotton candy (maybe it’s just my prego hormones?). Rickey is sitting next to me watching a movie. Ay, I see Gerald Butler is in it. If there is one actor I really like, it’s him.

Change // Inspiration

I love change. I really do. Even though sometimes, change is pretty scary and you’re not really sure if it’s actually a good thing. But if you embrace it, see the new opportunities, there is always something positive about change - and all too often, you will soon come to realize how great it can be.

Surprise Visit

In case you haven’t heard yet: My younger brother is in town and I could not be more excited about it. Especially since I cannot travel at the moment (even though after almost two years in the country I am developing the desire to visit my family in Germany for a few weeks), this was a wonderful surprise.

Cherished Moments

My mom and granny were in town for the past four weeks and we enjoyed it so much. Building a life with my beloved better half overseas is something I could not be happier about and more thankful for. However, it comes with a price. I do not particularly miss Germany, but all too often I just miss having my family around.

Celebration!

CELEBRATION, CELEBRATION! Where do I even begin? Well, maybe it’s even pretty simple: Ms. Haase turned Mrs. Bell last Thursday, which also happened to be my birthday. Boy, can I still not wrap my head around what happened the past week.

Into the Woods

I cannot really explain what it is, but there is something so amazingly soothing about being out in the woods, surrounded by nature at its purest. The world around us is getting so busy and we get trapped into a routine that makes us go more efficiently, faster, more goal-oriented.
