Early Morning at La Jolla Cove

One of the things I love about San Diego is the variety of marine life. Seriously, how many places are there in this world where you can potentially see sea lions on a daily basis? Here in sunny SD, this can be the order of the day - if only you headed up to La Jolla Cove.    There, the California sea lions are happily mingling in the sand, being completely unimpressed by their visitors. I have a thing for them; they are so cute. Don’t you think? (Only now do I understand that there actually are differences between sea lions and seals, well, duh! It’s their ears - or rather the seals’s non-existent ones.) Go up to La Jolla Cove early in the morning, when the visitor wave hasn’t hit yet, and enjoy the breeze, the fishy smelling air, and the crashing waves. Oh, yeah, and don’t forget to say hi to these ones ^. Happy Saturday, folks.
