Quick Note: Life Is Full of Choices (Choose Happiness)

You can either remove your shoes or scrub the floor - if that was the only decision we’d all have to make. But seriously, growing up is a scary thing and by saying this I am stating what so many before me have said. But it’s gotta be true then; I am not the only one who sees it that way. The more we grow up, the more we adult the more decisions we have to make. We don’t know the outcome, but we have to decide. That simple. Make the decision.    Some decisions are made so easily, it just feels so natural, because both our hearts and minds are in them. Others are harder, because it’s reason battling with emotion; mind fighting with the heart.   But where am I going with this, my friend? The fact is, that, before we eventually (have to) make a decision, we have a choice - and that is a beautiful thing. Each day to the new we ourselves  can decide what way to go, this or that one. Granted, there might be a bigger plan for us out there, maybe even a pre-written story we are living each day, in which we become the protagonist of our life story as it unfolds. But despite the fact that in the long run, there will be a certain direction in life we’re heading into, we - each of us -  have the ability to decide what next move we will be making and thus can ultimately pave and create our path to where we are eventually heading (and that, we don’t know yet). Here and now. It’s about choices in the present - not in the future. Because, we just cannot influence it, let’s face it. Things usually turn out differently anyway.   I am talking about just this moment (coffee or tea? - just kidding but in essence, that’s what it is). It starts with the most basic things. You have a choice. Make a decision.   Choose happiness. I do believe it starts with the most basic things.    An unintentional deep post on this Friday morning, coffee in hands, house quiet, and a candle flickering, making the room smell like fall spices. May your weekend be wonderful and the fundament of happiness play an essential part in all the decisions you are making.
