Dallas After Dark: The Best of Texas’ Third Biggest City at Nighttime

Being Texas’ third biggest city, Dallas offers an array of things to do - not only before sunset but especially after dark. Dallas is also called the “Big D” and can live it up at night. However, it doesn’t mean that you have to be stuck at a bar with a drink in front of you, on the contrary. How about embarking on fun, alternative late-night activities, for example? Compared to other cities, Dallas is still affordable and a good city to travel to when on a budget. Affordable accommodations and a merry time are guaranteed - after the sun has set.

Choose a Special Hotel Featuring a Nightclub

Dallas holds many surprises, such as nightclubs right on hotel properties. Now, if that doesn’t make you curious? Places such as the Hotel ZaZa, Hilton Anatole, and Crowne Plaza Hotel Dallas Downtown offer you the best of night life on-site. Win-win: You get your drink after a day out in Dallas and can dance the night away, but you don’t have to leave your hotel to do so. Fall right into a fluffy, cozy bed when your feet start to hurt. If that’s not convenient, I don’t know what is. However, there are also many hotels close to Dallas nightlife.

Choose from Many Alternative Late-Night Activities

Believe it or not, Dallas not only brings you the best bars, it also offers many things to do for the traveler who wants to get active after dusk. Why not stay “‘Til Midnight at Nasher Sculpture Center” that features live music and screens movies from both local as well as national musicians in an outdoor surrounding. For animal fun, hit the Dallas Zoo for the Twilight Safari Night Hike. Or are you a fan of history and Medieval times? Make sure to be part of a Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament and travel back in time. If you’re into ale and beer, attend a tasting session at Four Corners Brewery Dallas.

Tune Up Your Night at One of the Many Live Venues

Cowboy flair with a touch of cosmopolitan spirit - this is Dallas. If you are a fan of live music and enjoy the country-style, this city is right for you because there are many live venues that - once you have entered - sure will make you get off your seat in the blink of an eye. Get your boots out and head over to WW Fairfields Club & Eatery or the Double Wide Bar. Both feature great live acts and WW Fairfields even offers free two-step dance lessons. Also, the Midnight Rodeo, Billy Bob’s Texas and Gilley’s Dallas as well as the Round-Up Saloon will make for a two-stepping, merry night.

Dallas is a diverse city that is wide awake after the sun has set. You can choose from many bars, get moving at one of the live venues, or keep it interesting by embarking on one of the alternative late-nightactivities - and not to forget dancing the night away right at your hotels.
