BRIGHTON - wanna brightOn up your day?
Two years ago, I visited Aly in London. I spent five days with her in the city I will be calling my home from September on.
For one of the days - it was April - we had a day trip planned down to the coast. Brighton was our destination.
Super excited we headed out early in the morning to catch the train and to make the most of our day. When we finally arrived, the first thing I needed was my obligatory morning coffee (it was way too early to drink one when we headed out). Afterwards, we made our way to the marina and the famous Brighton Pier. Notice, my hair was way too short back then.
What great road trips one could make with such a vehicle.
Posing with the mermaid. What else?
The view up there - priceless.
A bird sneaked into the picture.
We strolled along the promenade. It was a beautiful morning.
And there’s the famous pier.
Could a day be any brighter (haha)?
It seemed as if life here is easy-going. No worries, no nothing.
This is the little fair on the pier itself. Much to see, much to do…
…and delicious sweets everywhere. Got a sweet tooth? You’ll find whatever you are craving for here - everything the heart desires ;)
Yup, and the mood “brightons” up if you eat candy. We all know it’s good for our souls and makes us happy.
And I also got to play the strong female lifeguard. Muscular strength! I saved Aly from drowning after having eaten all those sweet things.
This is where I would have stayed the whole day.
After a fun time on the pier, we went back down to the beach to play with pebbles.
This is a rather bad and very short video but I thought I’d post it for giving you an impression.
Afterwards, we went into town. We found a nice, cosy café and finished off with a piece of cake and whatnot.
Brighton most definitely is worth a visit.
